$74k after taxes isn’t a lot if you’re pretty much working full time. They
should interview someone who won millions because the millions are what
makes a larger impact.

Im not getting this interview of this girl who won the lotto. She only won
100,000 and like they said after taxes she got 70,000. so she won 70,000
not 100,000. Their talking about her winnings like she won millions of
dollars. How are you going to spend this money, how did this change your
life. Sorry but 70,000 is not a life changing thing. Does it make things a
little easy for you on bills and to have some money in the bank. Of course
it does. But she also said she bought a new jeep, help out some friends and
family and paid bills up to a year. Then the news guy says. Wow what are
you going to do with all the rest of the money. All of what rest of the
money. After buying a new jeep, helping out people and paying bills up to a
full year just how much money do you think she still has. Maybe she should
get some more tats I don’t think she has enough. Some of the dumb shit news
stations report on like it’s some big breaking news and wow what will you
do with all that money. Again yes it would be great to win 70,000 but don’t
act like she is some rich bitch when she still looks like she doesn’t have
a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of.

My advice – If you make 80K or more, you should know. If you make less,
30-40K down or towards 80-100K house, 15K on quality 2-3 year old car with
low miles, 8K in emergency fund in bank, 11-21K in IRA in diversified
mutual funds. No car payment + under 500 house payment + $8000 in emergency
fund + 11-21K in retirement should double roughly every 7 years =
SUCCESS!!!

I guess if you make $25,000 a year $75,000 seems like a lot of dough. Best
thing to do with it is to just invest it in something or keep it for a down
payment on a house. Or, to pay off some serious bills that can’t be
delayed any longer.

75k is nothing at today’s cost of living. not near enough to quit your job
over.
what you would be smart to do is…….DO NOT TOUCH 75-80% of it, instead,
do your homework, locate a well know highly rated investor, and invest it!
feel free to play with the other 20% of of your winning’s..
BUT KEEP IN MIND,
think about what you are spending your winning’s on. Is it something you
are gonna have to pay for, for the rest of your life. such as a nice car,
if you splurge on a nice car, your insurance will more then likely go up,
your personal property tax will also increase the same can be said if you
buy a house or property.
when all your winnings are gone and you are left with your shiny new car
and/or new house, will you be able to keep up with the new financial
situation you created for yourself, with the 9-5 job you work at?
