She’s wise in the fact that she didn’t go too crazy, but she really should have shunned the media as much as possible. I actually have a contingency plan if it happens for me:
1. It’s Australia, we get it in one lump sum, no tax. Deposit the cheque, wait for it to clear, casually show my partner the ATM receipt.
2. Pay off the house, immediately send my car in for full restoration, to the last nut and bolt if necessary.
3. Upgrade security, help a few family and friends wipe their debts. Only friends and family I can trust.
4. Get some work done on the house, install a friend of mine as a house sitter, while my partner and I take a long holiday, driving around Australia at our own pace. A mobile home pulling a car trailer (the car comes off the trailer around town)
5. Assess where in the country I want to settle. The original house would be my “city base.”
6. When the area is decided, buy a farm sized block of land.
7. Go to a dozen stockbroking firms. Give them each $50,000, tell them I’m assessing their performance. They’re free to invest their “seed capital” however they see fit, but it will be monitored. The money they make is to be deposited into one of my specific accounts. If I don’t see actual profits, or they try to run with it, they’re fired and disqualified from the race. The rules are as follows
-Each team starts with $50,000. If you lose more than 20% of the principle, you’re fired
-If I catch you doing anything illegal, you’re fired
-The firm that makes the most money in 6 months will have control of a $2 million dollar portfolio. Accounts will all be monitored on a weekly basis

she’s lucky she was able to claim the ticket. usually store employees includin managers aren’t allowed to buy lottery at their store. sigh my dream car, any mustang… love the 65, 98, 2014.. i just want a car and dental work done and help legit folks in need.

If i win the lottery it’s gonna be mega easy to tell people to fuck off. It’ll be more like a fun activity to do to kill time. I’ll be ruthless if the lottery gods are reading this!

Omg is she stupid I would take the 250,000 for 20 years. It’s still 5 million dollars either way and if something bad happened than the next increment of cash would be there for me the next year. And while all of this was happening I still would be working probably a low paying job in the middle to keep the cash flowing and keep myself occupied

Yes, because the best way to hide from people is to go on a TV documentary…. Where literally anyone can see it. I can drive 20 minutes and literally be at this ladies house, but nah.

Huh, thats cool. I volunteer at that same zoo too. But the only difference is im a 17 yr old volunteering there during the school year and summer.
